Computer graphics are graphics created using computers and, more generally, the representation and manipulation of pictorial (image) data by а computer.

The term computer graphics has several meanings:

1) The representation and manipulation of pictorial data by a computer,

2) The various technologies used to create and manipulate such pictorial data,

3) The images so produced, and

4) The sub-field of computer science that studies methods for digitally synthesizing and manipulating visual content.

Computer graphics involves the display, manipulation, and storage of pictures and experimental data for proper visualization using a computer.

A typical graphics system comprises a host computer with support of a fast processor, large memory, frame buffer, display devices (color monitors), input devices (mouse, keyboard, joystick, touch screen, trackball), output devices (LCD panels, laser printers, color printers. Plotters, etc.), interfacing devices such as video I/O, and TV interface, etc.

Computer graphics have become a very powerful tool for the creation of images and pictures. Basically, it is a field of computer science, that deals with the generation of images and pictures using the concept of Pixels. A pixel is a physical point in a raster image or the smallest addressable element in a display device;

 The development of computer graphics has made computers easier to interact with and better for understanding and interpreting many types of data. DÄ—velopments in computer graphics have had a profound impact on many types of media and have revolutionized the animation and video industry.
